THE BLESSINGS OF RUTH’S FAITH II
FRIDAY, 14 AUGUST
TEXT: RUTH 4: 1 – 22
TOPIC: THE BLESSINGS OF RUTH’S FAITH II
Indeed, Ruth started a journey of faith. At the beginning, both, Ruth and Naomi were empty, (Ruth 1:20-21). They were without natural substance and did not have a child. And, more painfully, the two were bereaved. However, the Lord, our gracious Father who sees things from afar and rewards His faithful followers, rewarded her with abundant blessings. The first blessings from God were those of an excellent home. Ruth’s connection with the family of Boaz reflected her virtues and Boaz’s family’s godly life.
Secondly, the Lord blessed her with the most popular royal family in Israel (Ruth 4:13-22). She gave birth to a male child who was named Obed, the grandfather of David, and the most popular and well respected king of Israel. Indeed, Ruth became one of the ancestors of our Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 1:5). Believers have a lot to learn from Ruth. We need to keep praying and trusting God even in the midst of the most difficult situations. Surrender, every pain and difficulty totally to the Lord Almighty. Then, the blessing of faith will be waiting for you.
QUESTION: Are you willing to trust God in every circumstance?
PRAYER: Lord, strengthen my faith to stand firm in every circumstance.
